Spring is here and the lazy days of summer are not far off. This of course makes us guys think about baseball. It is not that baseball isn't cool, because it is; but we love it mainly because of the nostalgia of it all.

With that in mind we decided to compile a list of the Top 10 baseball movies that make us laugh and feel nostalgic about America's Pastime. These classics are good anytime.

Top 10 Baseball Movies

·       The Sandlot - It doesn't get much better than this. A lot of poor bastards never experienced this type of childhood. But for those of us who did this movie rings true about how it was growing up in a small town. It was all about having fun and loving the game.

·       The Bad News Bears (original) - Lovable losers and a drunk coach who needs to learn life lessons. Yeah, this isn't going to end well. As much as I love Billy Bob, stick with the original because it rings much more true.

·       61 - This little seen gem is about the quest by Roger Maris to break the singe season home run record. Truly a great movie that all fans should see.

·       The Natural - Redford owned this role that made so many of us want to play baseball as kids. When he blows the lights out with the home run at the end I still get goose bumps.

·       A League of Their Own - Yeah it is chicks playing baseball but damn there is some great acting in this movie as well as a lot of humor.

·       The Rookie - Seriously, who doesn't have this dream every now and again of being a 38 year old rookie. Awesome movie and Dennis Quaid does a great job with the lead.

·       Field of Dreams - Not a full on baseball movie, but still a damn fine flick. Who builds a baseball field in the middle of a corn field?

·       Moneyball - A recent edition to the scene and well worth watching. This movie is a great story with wonderful acting by Brad Pitt and really gives an interesting bit of background to Billy Beane and the changes in the way stats are used.

·       Major League - Easily the all time number two movie ever made about baseball. Great cast, great story, funny, and always watchable. Okay Ricky, give him the heater.

·       Bull Durham - The pinnacle of baseball movies. This one features great acting and a very interesting look at minor league baseball. If you haven't seen this movie by now then there is something wrong with you.
