The 15 Laws of Relationships: Part 2

Just like a cornerback that took his eye off the ball, you can get called for a penalty by the relationship ref if you get too comfortable and forget about what got you there. We continue to count down our 15 laws of relationships but there is one main rule to remember: People change when they settle into a relationship because they are no longer trying to court the girl. That doesn't mean you should stop doing the things that made her like you in the first place.

That having been said, it wouldn't help to remember these 8 laws of relationships either:

8. Worry about the present, not the future: Don't fight over might happen. Circumstances change, as do intentions and people. Don't ruin the present by worrying about the future.

9. Listen: Women are always communicating something to you. They may not necessarily say things out loud but if you're paying attention, you will know what they are saying. How she acts is a much bigger indicator of how she really feels than what she says.

10. Speak Up: Just because they may not always speak up, doesn't mean you shouldn't. If you have a problem with something, bring it up and work it out. Never let problems fester or assume the other person understands how you feel if you have never said it.

11. Teamwork: Don't compete against one another, don't criticize each other, and don't stop each other from achieving whatever you want to achieve. Just as in baseball, teamwork is the most fundamental aspect of relationships. No matter what, you have to support your teammate.

12. Her problems aren't your problems: Just because you are a team does not mean you should take on her problems. Help her deal with her own problems but make sure to work on your own first.

13. Stop trying to control her: You can't change people and you can't control them. You can try, but you will be sorely disappointed and she will end up resenting you.

14. Keep some independence: Just because you're together doesn't mean you have to be together all the time. In fact, you really shouldn't. Most relationships will eventually come to an end, what are you going to do if you had all your eggs in that one basket?

15. If you're going to cheat...: Just leave. Don't cheat on her and be a selfish prick. If you're not getting what you need in one relationship, there are plenty of other options. One down, another 4 billion women in the world to go.
