Best Concession Items - MLB Style

Concession items have come a long way from foot-long hot dogs, popcorn, and beer. It seems like every stadium is trying to roll out bigger, cooler, and more specific items to not only please their fans but also somehow honor the team's biggest player.

So with that in mind we decided to check out what places are offering these days. Maybe we can even convince the boss that we need to try these out? Road Trip!

Anaheim Angels - They are serving up two new items in honor of Albert Pujols - A hot dog wrapped in a tortilla and then deep fried plus some nacho chips covered with cinnamon & sugar then topped with ice cream. I guess those are supposed to be sort of Hispanic flavored in style?

Pittsburg Pirates - The pulled pork and pierogi stacker is a crazy combo of two potato pierogi, pulled pork, and caramelized onions on a pretzel roll. The thing is huge for like $8. I have no idea how you would even get a bite without unlocking your jaw. But in a blue collar town you need a blue collar snack!

St. Louis Cardinals - They offer up a bacon-wrapped hot dog that is then covered in baked beans and BBQ sauce before being grilled up. I feel a heart attack coming on! But it sounds like a delicious way to go.

Texas Rangers - Presenting the $26 Hot Dog! This thing is 2 feet long and weighs 1 pound. It is almost the size of a baseball bat. It is called the Champion Dog and feeds 3 to 4 people or one Joey Chestnut.

S.F. Giants - Of course with the large Asian population in the Bay Area it makes sense they would create the steamed bun and Thai salad. It isn't purely any type of Asian food but more a mix of Chinese and Thai.

Philadelphia Phillies - Local bakery Tasty Baking Company makes all of these crazy Tastykakes that are come in Chocolate Cupcakes, Butterscotch Krimpets, and Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes. Apparently when it gets hot they melt so you have to eat fast.

Carnegie Deli - No it's not a stadium but it is worth mentioning that Tim Tebow is going to get his own sandwich at this famed eatery. Timmy gets the works with corned beef, pastrami, roast beef, American cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Of course it is served on white bread that was probably blessed earlier in the day.

Now if you go to games regularly I must say you need to try one of these treats. Send us pictures and your honest feedback. But make sure you check your cholesterol before you inhale one just to be safe. These things are not for people who are dieting or in danger of having a heart attack.
